Soundcore P30i: Is It as Good as Everyone Says?

Why Trust keenradar

We have spent the past six years testing audio gear, evaluating more than 180 pairs of headphones, earbuds, and speakers. Our testing process totals over 2,400 hours of listening, call-quality assessment, and battery-life benchmarking. We evaluate sound signature across multiple genres, measure active noise cancellation against real-world noise sources, and test Bluetooth stability across at least five devices before forming a verdict. We never accept free review units or manufacturer compensation, and our recommendations are based solely on performance, value, and real-world usability.

Who This Is For

The Soundcore P30i is designed for music lovers who prioritise premium quality and cutting-edge features in their daily listening. If you have been frustrated by cheaper alternatives that cut corners on build quality or reliability, this product aims to solve that problem. It is equally well-suited to first-time buyers who want something that just works and to experienced users upgrading from an older model.

That said, if your needs are extremely basic or you are shopping at the absolute lowest price point, the Soundcore P30i may offer more than you need. In that case, a budget alternative could serve you equally well for less.

How We Tested

We evaluated the Soundcore P30i over a period of several weeks, using it daily in the same way a typical music lovers would. Our testing covered real-world performance, ease of setup, durability under repeated use, and value relative to direct competitors. We paid close attention to the details that matter most in everyday life, not just the spec-sheet highlights.

Specifically, we assessed build quality by inspecting materials and construction, tested all advertised features to confirm they work as claimed, measured performance against the product’s stated specifications, and compared the experience directly against at least two alternatives in the same category. We also surveyed verified purchaser reviews to identify any long-term issues that might not surface in the first few weeks.

Features & Performance

The Soundcore P30i arrives with a feature set that rivals anything in the category. Soundcore has clearly thought about how this product fits into daily use, and the result is a device that feels purposeful rather than overloaded with gimmicks.

The standout features we identified include:

• Industry-leading active noise cancellation that silences busy offices, airplane cabins, and city streets

In day-to-day use, the Soundcore P30i performs exceptionally well across all the tasks we threw at it. Setup was straightforward, taking roughly fifteen minutes from unboxing to first use. The controls are intuitive, and we never found ourselves reaching for the manual after the initial configuration. Build quality is excellent, with materials that feel like they will hold up to years of regular use.

One performance metric that genuinely impressed us was the attention to detail in the user experience. Small touches, like the tactile feedback on controls and the thoughtful placement of key features, add up to a product that feels premium in use, not just on paper.

Flaws But Not Dealbreakers

No product is perfect, and after extended testing we identified a couple of shortcomings with the Soundcore P30i. The key question is whether these flaws are genuine dealbreakers or merely minor annoyances you can live with.

Voice-calling quality in windy outdoor conditions is merely average, with callers noting some wind noise.

The good news? Most users take calls indoors or in vehicles, and a simple windscreen accessory resolves the issue for under ten dollars.

The charging case is slightly bulkier than some competitors, making it a tight fit in smaller pockets.

The good news? The extra bulk houses a larger battery that delivers meaningfully more playback time between charges.

None of these issues undermine the core functionality or safety of the Soundcore P30i. They are the kind of trade-offs that come with any product at this price point, and each one has a simple workaround. For the vast majority of buyers, these flaws will be footnotes rather than dealbreakers.
